the armor is in a pretty weird spot, i didn't do the math with the high armor toughness, but it seems about as protective as the diamond armor (less raw armor, more toughness), and slightly worse than netherite, which is kinda sad for an amazing nanosuit. for stealth it could be drawing little to no energy while standing still, and drawing more when you move.įinally, about balance. perhaps the same for the power mode, make it draw less on standby, but more when you sprint, attack or jump. if you manage to make it draw energy only when taking damage and just stop the energy regen when idle, it would be amazing. armor mode is basically a parry or short blocking rather than a tanky feature that makes you chonky.

i could see them drawing energy differently though, it's just too quick. On the mode themselves, i think they are fine as is, especially the power mode which is perfect for what it represent. a radial menu could always be a nice addition, but what i was thinking of is the system from crysis 1, where you had to multi tap a single mode key a number of time to select the mode you wanted (i'm assuming you played crysis 1 since you merged strength and speed modes which are not in the later opuses).Īnd also, it could be nice having the possibility to change the energy bar position on the screen in case some players already have a hud from other mods. On the topic of ergonomics, i think it could be nice to make something more elaborate than one key per function.

i still changed my keys to what i wanted through the files, but it's really important for ergonomic reasons that you don't have to rummage through your appdata folder when you wanna change it.Īnother little fix you could do is put the night vision on a 1s duration instead of 0, because it tends to stutter a bit, just making the duration slightly longer could prevent that.

one thing you absolutely must do is create an in game way to change the keybinds, be it through the control section of the setting (always better for users) or the config in forge mod section (at least it's there).

i really like the idea that's pretty simple and slick, and still it does give that crysis feel.īefore i start talking about balance, let's address the elephant in the room. I did not have time to try it in real survival, but after checking the function in creative, i think it's pretty good especially all the visual and sound effects.
